Due to the flash floods earlier part of this month, the Children’s Pediatrics Department and part of A&E at Heartlands Hospital was under 6 inches of water; making it seem more like a swimming pool than a Hospital. Many patients were transferred to Good Hope Hospital in Sutton Coldfield.
How did we help?
The need to get this busy and extremely vital department backup and running was our main objective. The team at Newlay Floors got to work on the problem straight away and worked out of hours to remove the flooring and start the drying out process.
Once the old flooring had been removed, the moisture content in the flooring slab was closely monitored to get this under control before fitting the floor covering. The final fit was completed in Tarkkett iQ Granit Micro, specified to meet the guidelines for Dementia flooring.
