Emergency Flooring at Solihull Hospital

Due to the escape of around six thousand litres of water the Endoscopy and Day Procedures Unit at Solihull Hospital needed emergency attention.
How did we help?
The team at Newlay Floors got to work on the problem straight away and worked out of hours to remove the flooring and start the drying out process.
Once the old flooring had been removed, the moisture content in the flooring slab was observed over a 4 week period. As the department was in constant use and the moisture content did not get below the industry standard of 75% relative humidity, we recommended using a moisture barrier system.
With this in mind, we used UZIN L3 Gold Moisture Control smoothing compound, which allows installation of up to 95% relative humidity (RH) – perfect for this job!
After the sub floor was completed and the moisture under control, the final fit was completed in Tarkett iQ Megalit.
